120 Years of St Andrew's
St Andrew’s began in 1906, as a small church of a few dozen people meeting together to know more about Jesus and to make Jesus known to others. 120 years later, we still have the same purpose. In our anniversary year, we want to celebrate God’s goodness to us over so many years and resolve to continue to serve Jesus and proclaim him as Lord and Saviour.
We begin our 120th celebrations with a wine tasting event in our beautiful heritage-listed church building on Saturday, 11 April at 5pm.
Join us for a special anniversary service as we reflect, give thanks, and pray for the years ahead on Saturday, 25 April at 5pm.
You’re invited to dinner with our church family as we continue with our 120th celebrations on Saturday, 25 April at 6:30pm.
Celebrating Together
In April, we celebrated 120 years of God’s faithfulness at St Andrew’s. Together, we worshipped, heard stories from old friends and gave thanks for all that God has done, remembering that everything is from Jesus and for Jesus. As we look to the future, we do so with prayer and hope, asking that St Andrew’s will continue to be a place where God is honoured and the gospel is faithfully proclaimed for generations to come.

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we invited our church community to contribute to the 120th Anniversary Thanksgiving Gift, helping to support gospel ministry at St Andrew’s in the years ahead. We give great thanks for the generous and joyful response.
These gifts are currently being used to fund much-needed renovations to the Life Centre basement, the interior of our heritage-listed church, including the bell tower and the Old Vicarage.
At least 40% of the funds will also support our Church Care Fund, which assists church members facing urgent needs, as well as our mission partners as they continue to serve and bless people across our city and around the world.
Thank you again to everyone who gave so generously. Those who would like to continue supporting the ministry of St Andrew’s are encouraged to make future donations to the General Fund.
