What is MaxCap?

MaxCap will help us to maximize seating capacity for Sunday services under the Covid-19 exemption for religious activities.

Your participation in the MaxCap Plan will help us meet the MaxCap criteria for having 2/3 of our service attendees as “Qualified Participants” under the Cap 599G regulation. We hope that we will soon be able to lift the 50% capacity limit for all services including the Old Church when enough MaxCap participation is reached.

To help us welcome more people to church, there are a few simple steps to follow:

STEP 1
If you attend our Sunday services regularly, we will send you an invitation email to complete a MaxCap participation form online. This invitation is designated in your name and cannot be shared. If you need an invitation sent for you or your family members, please email the request to maxcap@standrews.org.hk with the names and email addresses of those required.

The online form will provide simple but essential information for the MaxCap Plan. After you submit the online form, a MaxCap Participation confirmation email will be sent back, allowing you to access the form and update it if needed.

STEP 2
You will need to present your vaccination proof to a designated staff member before or after Sunday services. We will not store your medical data but simply mark the successful verification of your vaccination status.

STEP 3
Finally, when your MaxCap status has been activated, you will receive a weekly reservation email to RSVP your MaxCap ticket for the Sunday service you will attend.

MaxCap Tickets 

Once you are activated in MaxCap Plan, you will follow a simpler reservation and check-in process for Sunday services. No QR code scanning is required, so you can skip the normal pre-registration check-in line.

Each Wednesday, you will receive a reservation email from St Andrew’s Church for your direct response.

Simply RSVP by clicking one of the following buttons from the email:

Accept” – to register for the specified Sunday service.
Please choose the service you want to attend, click “Proceed” and then “Confirm”. You may click “Add additional ticket” to reserve additional services for yourself only. You will receive a confirmation email showing the MaxCap ticket with your name. Simply present this email to our Welcomer for check-in.

Decline” – if you are unable to attend that Sunday. You may undo the decline before you close the confirmation webpage.

More Information” – to be taken to the signup page for updates or other selections.

Our normal steps for pre-registration and QR code check-in will continue for guests who opt out of MaxCap participation.

Kidzone pre-registration and check-in process remain unchanged. Kidzone classrooms are still subjected to a 50% capacity limit under the current provisions for religious activities exemption.

What do I do if I haven’t received an invitation email?
Simply email the request to maxcap@standrews.org.hk with your name and email address.

What is a “Qualified Participant” under the current Cap 599G regulation?
You are a “Qualified Participant” when you can prove that you have completed the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination. We need 2/3 of our attendees to be a “Qualified Participant” in order to lift the 50% capacity limit for that service.

Can Kids and Youth participate in the MaxCap plan?
Unfortunately under the current restrictions, Kids and Youth are still subject to a 50% capacity limit. You can pre-register for Kidzone and Youth using the What’s On page.

As a family we only use one email address for church, can we still sign up to MaxCap?
Yes, you may use the same email address for your family members when each member completes a separate MaxCap participation form in their own names. The weekly reservation emails and tickets will be sent to this same email address.

Do I need to register to come to church?
Once your MaxCap status has been activated, you will receive a weekly invite, please RSVP by clicking on:

“Accept” – to register for the specified Sunday service
“Decline” – if you are unable to attend that Sunday. You may undo the decline before you close the confirmation webpage.
“More Information” – to be taken to the signup page for updates or other selections.

How do I check-in to church?
Your reservation confirmation is your MaxCap ticket. Please go to the separate MaxCap check-in queue in South Lobby and present the confirmation email to a Welcomer.
No QR code scanning is required, so you can skip the normal pre-registration check-in line.
Kidzone family continues to do family check-in together in the Basement.

What to do when I have a plan change after RSVP?
To release the space for others, you can cancel a registration or MaxCap reservation by retrieving the confirmation email from St Andrew’s Church Event and click “View, Cancel, or Checkin” to submit your cancellation.
