Growth Groups are an essential part of life at St Andrew’s. The Bible teaches that Christians cannot thrive as individuals, instead we grow together in Christ-focused community where we all care for one another. Our Sunday gatherings are quite large, so Growth Groups are the main way we do this community.
These smaller communities gather in various forms and sizes but each group typically consists of around ten people, who meet every one to two weeks, to share their lives, to study the Bible, and to pray for each other.
It’s as we get to know each other really well, and then speak the truth of the love of God in Christ into the nitty gritty details of our lives that groups become places of care and discipleship.
A couple of groups for female domestic helpers meet weekly at St Andrew’s on Sunday afternoons (except the first Sunday of the month).
If you’d like to join a group, we’d love for you to come to Partnership. This is a free three-week course that runs on Sunday afternoons. We’ll introduce you to life at St Andrew’s and help you choose the best Growth Group for you.
