‘Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’
~2 Corinthians 9:6-7
As Christians, we believe we are the recipients of incredible generosity from God. Everything that we have comes from him (our lives, our health, our wealth, our relationships).
In fact, God has given us more than we deserve, pouring out his kindness and mercy to us through Jesus.
The bible often speaks about our relationship with money as stewards. We are people given the responsibility of managing something that is not really ours – it has been given to us.
Our use of money is an opportunity to use what God has given us for his causes, in thanks to him.
