Evangelism/Mission

"The Church exists by mission as fire exists by burning" [Emil Brunner]. At St. Andrew's Church we believe that we have a God-given mission to reach the world for Christ. Jesus said "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations….."[Matt 28:19]. We aim to share the love of Jesus by word and deed, such that people come to know him personally and put their trust in him. "HONG KONG FOR CHRIST, CHRIST FOR THE WORLD" expresses our aim to reach people for Christ and to send his followers out in the name of Jesus both into the local community and to the many nations with which we have contact.

Our Director of Mission and Evangelism has responsibility for this area of ministry - which includes the Alpha Course, Prison Ministry, Street-sleepers Ministry, Mission Partners & Mission Trips.

Over the past three years Mission Teams have been sent to China, Cambodia, Vietnam, East Timor and the Philippines and contact in these and other places is actively maintained through mission partners.
