Welcome to St. Andrew's Church!
Mission Statement
St.
Andrew’s is an Anglican Church, with an international membership
and English as our primary medium of communication.
Situated in the heart of Kowloon, it is in a strategic
position to connect with large numbers of people spending long or
short periods of time in the city and often
travelling from Hong Kong
to all parts of the world.
“HONG
KONG FOR CHRIST, CHRIST FOR THE WORLD” expresses our vision to win
and disciple people for Christ while they are here in this part of
China, and then to send them out to win the world for Him. We aim to
resource people to fulfill this apostolic calling in the workplace,
among the poor and needy, in the local community and on the wider
mission-field.
We
are a community dedicated to the worship of God, ministering to and
valuing people of all ages. We welcome into our varied church family
people from all backgrounds and church experience, aiming in all
things to bring God glory and to lift up the name of Jesus Christ.
In
style and character, St. Andrew’s is both evangelical and
charismatic; we aim to balance the Word and the Spirit, calling
individuals to make a personal commitment to Christ, to ground their
lives in the truth of the Bible and to seek constantly the filling
and empowering of the Holy Spirit for Christian living and service.
We
believe that the church has five purposes: mission, worship,
fellowship, discipleship and service. Our aim therefore is to make
and mature Christians, such that every member becomes an active
servant of God through the variety of ministries radiating from our
home base.
We
aim to work in partnership with other church fellowships and
organizations, both local and international, wherever our ministries
overlap.
