Car Parking

GENERAL INFORMATION

1) Parking facility at St. Andrew's Church is mainly for members who come to worship and meetings, and is a privilege granted by the Church at the sole discretion of the St. Andrew's Church Council.

2) Parking at the Church is by permit only. Permit must be displayed on the windscreen of the car.

3) All permits (unless specified) are issued for a period of six month in April and October. There is no rebate to the fees levied.

4) Barrier cards will be given to car parking permit holders for coming in and leaving. The system is controlled by a computerized programme with all the details recorded. The barrier card will be programmed so that it can only be used in the specified time. It is issued to the owner of the vehicle against the car registration number and is therefore not transferable and must not be used by any other person.

5) A fee will be levied from the users of the car parking facility and this will be used for the maintenance of the car parking system; hiring of the car park attendant; improvement of the rear car park and the administrative cost.

6) In order to ensure the safety at the ground, there is a limit of 70 nos. of car parking at any one time. This will be on a first come first serve basis. All vehicles within the site cannot operate in a speed exceeding 5 mph.

7) Car parking is entirely at the risk of the car owner and St. Andrew’s Church Council does not accept any liability for the loss of, damage to or theft from the car or its contents while the car is parked on the Church property.

8) St. Andrew’s Church reserves the right to revoke any parking permit.

9) Car parked illegally on the Church grounds will be clamped. To release, a fee of HK$400.00 is required.

10) The car park is opened between 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. everyday. The main gate will be locked at 10:30 p.m. No car is allowed to park on the Church grounds overnight without prior permission. A car park attendant will be on duty to man the barrier between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily except Wednesdays. All drivers must comply with instructions given by the Church staff and the traffic control team.

ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLYING A CAR PARKING PERMIT WITHIN THE CHURCH

The applicant has to be a regular Sunday worshipper (verified by the Church staff) and fulfill at least one of the followings:-

1) On the electoral roll.

2) A member of the home group / ministry group.

3) Been on a membership course.
